REGULATIONS
OF THE VISAGINAS HALF-MARATHON 2018

  1. GENERAL INFORMATION

VšĮ Bėgimo klubas together with it‘s partners: the Municipality of Visaginas, in cooperation with the Lithuanian Running Amateur Association, the Visaginas Police Commissariat (Utena County VPK) and the Šuklinas Olympic Sports Club, is organizing a running festival “Visaginas Half-marathon 2018”.

II. OBJECTIVES AND TASKS

  1. To increase the amount of mass events in Visaginas city.
  2. To increase the activity of Visaginas municipality residents, to popularize running and athletics in Utena County.
  3. To promote the interest of neighboring countries in Lithuania.
  4. Recognize and reward winners and prize winners, the most engaging organization.

III. DISTANCES

During the event, running enthusiasts and professionals will compete in the following events:

  • 21 km 98 m (half-marathon);
  • 10 km;
  • 5 km;
  • 1 km;
  • 400 m.

IV. TIMEOUT

Half marathon – 3 hours
10 km – 2 hours
5 km – 1 hour
The time for 1 km runner is not fixed
The time for 400 m racing participants is not fixed

On the competition day at 15:00 o‘clock the time measurement will be stopped and the time will not be captured. At 15:00 o‘clock the city streets will be opened and the organizers of the half-marathon will not answer for the safety of runners on the route.

V.PLACE, TIME

The competition will be held in Visaginas Municipality.

Start and finish at Visaginas Central Stadium (Parko st. 2) in April 28, 2018

11:00 am – 5 km start.
12:00 (midday)– 10 km and the half-marathon start.
12:30 pm – 1 km start.

Upon completion of 1 km, the run of 400 m will start (depending on the number of participants).

VI. PARTICIPANTS

All who interested can participate in the competition by filling in the participant registration form. Runners must have checked their health and confirmed it with their signature at the time of registration. All participants participate in the race with their free will and takes the responsibility for all the risks associated with participation in the race (including various health disorders, etc.) and undertakes not to place any claims on the organizers of the race. Runners must have a personal identification document when picking up their number.

Parents, guardians or trainer are responsible for the underaged participants.

Each participant when registered automatically agrees that the event organizers can use photos and videos for marketing purposes freely and without the sole consent of the event participants.

Age groups for the competition:

Half Marathon:

MEN (V) WOMEN (M) BIRTH YEAR
Guys (V20) Girls (M20) 1998 and younger
Men (VE) Women (ME) 1969 – 1997
Veterans (VET) Veterans (VET) 1968 and older

Half-marathon is open to individuals who were born not later than 2001.

10 km and 5 km:

10 km and 5 km events by age group runners will not be divided. These events may be attended by persons who were born not later than in 2004.

1 km:
Runners who were born in 2005-2007 participate in 1 km contest.

400 m:
400 m contest involves runners, who were born in 2008 and younger.

VII. SPECIAL CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

  1. Registration in any race is possible only in your own name. It is forbidden to transfer your number to another participant. In this case, the participants will be disqualified and the results will not be included in the race record.
  2. Each competitor must have a number neatly fixed to the shirt. The number should be on the front of the shirt (chest), in a clearly visible position.
  3. It is strictly forbidden for participants and their supporters to use any vehicles such as bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, and other bicycle vehicles. Participants who violate this provision will be disqualified.
  4. Participants are prohibited from using any personal escort during the race. In violation of this rule, participants will be disqualified.
  5. During the event, it is prohibited to drive any animals on the course.
  6. The time of the participants who have not affixed or incorrectly placed the number will not be registered and such participants will not be included in the competition protocol.
  7. It is prohibited for competitors to depart from the running track at any rate (without the permission of the judge). Participants who violate this rule will be disqualified.
  8. Any claims by participants must be submitted in writing to the organizers within 20 minutes after the end of the competition. The participant is required to pay a claim of 20 euros, which is refundable only if the appeal commission (the organizer, the senior judge, representative of the LBMA) will satisfy the claim. Until the participant pays the fee, the claims are not considered.

VIII. SPECIAL ITEMS along the course

Half marathon route will be equipped with power points where competitors will be divided by water and fruits. There will be 3 power supply points in total.

IX. AWARDS

Half marathon winners and prize winners will be determined between men and women in accordance with the appropriate age groups. The winners and prize winners will be awarded prizes and commemorative cups. All participants who successfully complete the course will receive a commemorative medal.

10 km and 5 km events will be awarded after the 6 fastest male and female runners.

NOTES:

  1. There is no starting fee for participants in races for 1 km and 400 m, but online registration is mandatory until 25 April 2018. There will be no registration on the day of the competition.
  2. Participant’s entry fee shall be paid to VšĮ Bėgimo klubas account:

  3. Be sure to include your name, last name and the distance you selected.
  4. The entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another participant.
  5. Registered Všį Bėgimo klubas members gets a discount.

XI. PARTICIPANTS AND REGISTRATION NUMBERS ISSUE

  1. All participants can register on the website www.visaginopusmaratonis.lt until April 25th. 23:59.
  2. Participant numbers can be withdrawn on the day of the event from 9:30 to 11:30 on the start of the event.

XII. FINAL PROVISIONS

  1. Running organizers reserve the right, if necessary, to change the rules of the competition.
